A model for an installation to be built at the bottom of a trail deep within the Grand Canyon. A glass cubicle that appears as a desert mirage from afar. The hiker comes upon this installation unexpectedly during their travels. Checkpoints with visitor logs are traditionally found on backcountry trails. Instead of a visitor log, small postcards from the canyon are available to take from the printer tray. The juxtaposition of an mundane, conventional space found within the wild is intended to make the hiker reconsider where they are and what that means.
